SD1500 Dimer Acid

SD1500 Dimer Acid is produced from specific vegetable-based raw materials. The composition of this product is typical for applications requiring low monomer acid content, with the desired functionality of dimer acids, and to a lesser extent, trimer acids present in the product. SD1500 can be used in the production of reactive and non-reactive polyamides for inks, adhesives, and epoxy resins. Other applications include synthetic lubricants, oil field drilling muds, alkyd resins and corrosion inhibitors.

Definition

Gum Turpentine and its derivatives; GumTurpentine is a clear, water-white to light yellow volatile liquid with a distinct odor. It is derived from crude gum rosin dip upon further distillation. Common uses are solvent applications such as fragrance additive, carrier fluid, paint thinning and cleaning. Alternative names are “spirits of turpentine”, “oil of turpentine” and “wood turpentine”.
